Beaker Liners made with Teflon ® film are better then Pyrex ® (borosilicate) glass, because will not break and is less contaminating. It is recommended the Beaker liners are rinse with methylene chloride (as a rinse) to remove a "releasing agent" that the manufacturer uses.  The compound is used to allow quick release from the molding/stamping process used in manufacture. The EPA's official cleaning steps are listed in Alt-005.
