Interchangeable Aeroqual S500 Sensor Heads can be used with Series 500 (S500) and Ranger handheld ambient air monitors to measure a broad range of constituents and gases. Over 25 different swappable sensors can measure: ammonia, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen dioxide, ozone, particulate matter, VOC’s and more.

All sensor heads feature active fan sampling and vary in their measurement approaches and sensor types, offering consultants, industrial hygienists, site managers, and engineers a host of options to meet their unique testing needs. Sensor technologies utilized include: Gas Sensitive Electrochemical (GSE), Gas Sensitive Semiconductor (GSS), Laser Particle Counter (LPC), Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR), and Photo Ionization Detection (PID).

The Aeroqual Series 500 (S500) enables accurate real-time surveying of common ambient air pollutants, all in an ultra-portable handheld form factor. For use in measuring indoor or outdoor air quality, the S500 is suitable for a variety of applications, including: leak detection, industrial hygiene, construction, remediation, and more.  Data is stored on board the Series 500 with a maximum 8,188 records available. To transfer data, a USB cable is supplied for connection to PC. Free PC software provided with the Series 500 presents your data in a chart or table view, viewable in most spreadsheet applications.

In Control Mode, upper and lower control limits can be easily set directly on the display. Using the 0-5V output, the Series 500 can be used to switch on or off an externally-connected device such as an ozone generator or system in the presence of a predetermined level of gas. With an optional wall-mount bracket and using an AC power adapter, the Series 500 can also be used as a space-saving fixed monitor.
